"You have a very narrow view of life, Mr. Collins. I cannot think how you have survied in it thus far without having some sense beaten into you by others."

"Merely the view I have been granted by the lord and my esteemed Lady Catherine" he replied with a hard edge to his voice.

Charlotte stopped, and her arm in his caused them both to halt, "So, you have no views of your own, Mr. Collins?"

Mr. Collins looked amused by that statement "I may hold alot of esteem for my patron Miss. Charlotte but the only book in this earth that can influence my opinion is that of the Bible."

"But don't you have passion for that outside of the good book? Don't you love to live and feel strongly about something other than what Lady de Bourgh tells you too? Don't you want to be free of her and make your own way in the world? You don't have to stay under her thumb."

"I suppose in that respect, you are a lucky man, Mr. Collins. But I can still not countance the fact that you live under someone's thumb. Buf if you are happy..."

Charles was happening to be walking through the town as he had found that friends could be made through this action. Something he had never thought of doing before. It was while walking that he chanced upon Charlotte, and who he recognised, (after some time of recollection.) Mr.Collins. He knew that Charlotte hated Mr.Collins so why was her arm around his. He pondered upon this for a moment, before approaching the 'couple', and greeted them.

Charlotte smiled brilliantly, "Charl...I mean Mr. Graham! How lovely to see you! Mr. Collins has been so..." she searched for a fitting word, "kind as to escort me around the shops this morning."
