William noticed her gaze had changed and he looked to see what now had her attention. It was a portait of Miss Darcy and her esteemed brother. Seeing Darcy's serene half-smile made some irrational part of him jealous. Not only had Darcy found the love-of-his-life, but he had a sister that he obviously held in great regard.
Smiling a bit wryly, he commented, "A very handsome portrail of you and your dear brother, Miss Darcy."

Georgiana was startled by his voice. Her thoughts had been traveling towards her brother's thoughts about Lord Snowden. "Thank you, my brother found the portriat quite pleasing"

"I'd imagine so. It looks like a Gainsbrough or perhaps a Thomas. He would have shelled out a considerable sum to have it painted so well."

He chuckeld, "They are often very good at their craft when they are paid close to a thousand pounds for a portrait."
