Her thoughts of death disturbed Ianto. "I have seen too much death, violent and otherwise, to feel the same. Death is a horrid thing. But something that enevitably happens to all of us," he said softly.

"Well to me it sounds like fun," she giggled, "not that I want to hasten my own death or anything."

He gave her a dark look, "It's not, that I can promise."

"Opinions!" she shouted. "how silly of me, people like you don't like death, so why would I go to you for dying." she tilted her head and thought for a moment, "Maybe the graveyard."

"What are you going on about? I don't know what I said to put you in such a state."

"Your drinking, and you will die from it." she said simply, "as if you didn't know."

"As a matter of fact, I did know. But it isn't an immediate death, and sometimes you don't even die from overimbibing. It is just chance. You are dabbling with something left to the gods, therefore you never know the out come. But if I were to die it would only serve me right. My parents would finally be happy and I would beable to join my brother in death." Now Ianto did pour himself a drink.

"You don't like your parents and you grieve for you lost brother." she said simply. "Maybe you should die, and for such a reason I will not stop you, but I cannot promise I won't watch."

"No, I love my parents! I do, it's just that as long as I am alive, I cannot help but think that they may be blaming me. We were always a close family..." Ianto threw back the rest of his glass, "I just feel guilty."

"Blaming you for what?" she asked, tilting her head to look innocent.

He shot her a look of impatience, "They blame me for basically killing my brother."

Lauren was shocked, he never expected him to tell her, but now she was incredibly interested. "I'm guessing it wasn't you, so what did kill him?"

He poured himself another drink and shot it down, "War killed him. He was under my command and I sent him out and he never returned. I suppose that is the same as me killing him."

"Not at all." Lauren said smiling at him, "You gave an order that needed to be done, and ebing proud of your borther knew he was best for the job, it the enemies that killed him, don't ever blame yourself."

He slammed his glass hard down onto the table, "But I knew that he probably wouldn't make it out alive. I sent my own brother on a suicide mission! How can I not blame myself??"
