Gabriel knew that there was a reason he didn't know her father. He probably would knock him flat in a heart beat. What gentleman calls his daughter odd? "Do you enjoy city life?" Gabriel asked to keep it on a more mellow topic.

Gabriel smiled, "Ah, but you must not be born to the sea as I. I have known little but the sea since I was a lad of twelve. The seas are very dangerous during the winter, but they are by no means boring."
