Heather sighed "I did have a suitor at one point but his family forbid him from marrying me, no man since then has ever looked my way" at least not for marriage she finnished in her head

(He was talking society, but I didn't make that clear...sorry)
"Almost six years this Season. When you have been out as long as me, you see that most matches are not made because of parental flaws. If they were, England would not be able to pass lineage legitamatly. Even our own Prince Regent is fond of dissipation."

Gabriel smiled, "You undersestimate the ton. Many refuse to claim Prinny as the rightful heir to the throne. Why would they? He is a drunken sot. I know many a sailor who has better habbits than our beloved Prince. When he was foxed one night, he comissioned a Pavillion in Bath for hundreds of thousands of pounds. At least your father isn't using government money needed to fight the upcoming war in France."

Heather smiled "A lady never reveals her age but I did give you a hint not to long ago in our conversation Sir Wellis, surely you could guess?"

He smiled, "Alas, no. How do you expect an old fellow like me to do that?"

"A man of sharp mind is never truely old and from the way I see you could not be more than twenty and five" Heather replied
